This very vibrant quilt was made by Bettie Hammock and shared with our 24 Blocks Facebook community. She writes, “This is a wall hanging made out of MEN’S Ties. I love making quilts from the ties. I have made 9 quilts so far and am working on my tenth at this time.” This is so beautiful. Thank you, Bettie for your post.
Isn’t this beautiful? Janeen Sepulveda posted it, saying she just finished it up. We love it, especially the burgandy with the pink. Just in time for Valentines, too! Thanks, Janeen, for sharing it with us.
Cathy Norton‘s husband made this delightful little bed for their granddaughter’s American Girl doll. Cathy did the quilt and canopy. Notice the detail work in the tiny blocks! Thank you, Cathy, for inspiring us.
Linda Longenecker believes this quilt dates from the late 1930’sor 40’s. Isn’t it interesting with its use of so much printed fabric and the use of bright yellow and golds? Do you think this is the Boston Commons pattern or another one?
We’d love to see your work, too! Just upload a photo of your work to our 24 Blocks Facebook page and tell us something about it. Happy Sewing!
