About 15 years ago my husband’s grandmother moved into a nursing home. When dividing her belongings, I ended up with several hand embroidered, crocheted pillow cases along with a few embroidered doilies. Now that I am retired I decided it was time to do something with them.It took several months playing around with fabric to decide what to do and how to make a quilt from these wonderfully embroidered pieces. As the quilt began to take shape and each square was planned, it also became very close to our niece’s wedding shower. This would be her great-grandmother’s handiwork, so I decided to give it to her as a shower gift. I finished it just in time. Attached are some photos.Pat Warren
