Quilting for Breast Cancer Awareness: October 14

We’d like to say a very special thank you to our readers at 24 Blocks who have recently shared photos of the quilts they’ve made, or been given, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month or to comfort those in treatment or to celebrate successes. Many times quilts are made to assist groups in fundraising. As always, quilting brings people together. We hope that by sharing these quilts for a wider group we can help encourage an awareness of prevention and help bring a spirit of support and community to families who are touched by the disease.

Tonight, we’d like to share just a few of the quilts that have been posted by our readers. The captions are in their own words.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their work with our quilting community at 24 Blocks. We’ll be featuring more quilts made for Breast Cancer Awareness as the month continues. Meanwhile, we’d like to encourage everyone to spread the word about prevention.

Quilt strong.
