Red, White and Black

We don’t have many quilts done in red, white and black posted at 24 Blocks. But there’s something intriguing about them and definitely something modern…or at least Art Deco. The balancing of the colors remind us of the great Art Deco posters from the 1920’s and 30’s, of energy and movement and a bit of daring.

from: Nancy O’Gorman: “This is my favorite quilt. The Log Cabin really worked with the black, white, and red.”

from: Jill Brandt Blankenship: “Inspired by my 4 nephews that made Eagle Scout. First time to do diamond blocks. “

from: Teresa Decker Owens: “carpenter star made for a golf tournament raffle”
