Thinking Ahead to Next Christmas

Good morning! Last month we had many beautiful Christmas quilts and wall-hangings shared by our community members on the 24 Blocks Facebook page. Some were very intricate and would have taken long months of work. Since it’s never too early to start planning for the next holiday season, we’d like to share four of our favorites this morning. We’d like to praise their creators in the realization that these are works of art that will last for generations. We hope, too, they inspire you to think ahead to next Christmas and your own vision in quilted fabric.

from: Sandra Segar Chadwick: “My Christmas Quilt, 12 Days of Christmas”

from Pamela Turner: “Nativity Quilt – Paper Pieced with pattern from Paper Panche.

from Dawn Barach: “Filled with music fabrics and rhinestones, this was a hit with my musical group!”

from: Vicky Bertrand: “Australian Christmas Quilt…Made for my nephew whose mother is from Australia…Quilt name is Chrissy Down Under by McKenna Ryan..Researched each animal as I made the quilt and send info along with the Christmas gift.”

Quilting complexity that takes a long time, while done in a spirit of celebration, memories and hopes, brings such happiness. Thanks to everyone who has shared their work with us all!
