April 14 – Today’s Featured Quilts

from: Dee Snook: “This quilt, made by my great grandmother, Kate Stoothoff Foster, in Queens, NY is always on the trundle bed. So proud to have it. My mother was about 6 or 7 and helped sew some of the squares.”

from: Debbie McCoy: “This quilt is my design. I used Valentine heart candy box for the heart pattern. The butterflies and the border are all cut freehand without using a pattern. It won first place in its category at a local quilt show.”

from: Katy Prochaska: “Was inspired by a quilt on your site and then made it my own along the way.”

from: Martha Plante: “UFO! Saw a quilt on 24Blocks with a comment about a bombing chicken. Had to have my Grandson tell me what that meant. But it reminded me of the chicken quilt I had started waaaaaay long time ago. Unfortunately, I can’t hand quilt it anymore. But I still don’t think it’s done. Maybe some embroidery along the feathers . . .”
