“Thisis the quilt I made for my first grandchild. I was inspired when I saw the darling pastel ginghams at the fabric store. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. I incorporated her first initial “A” into the quilting design in the large pink triangles.” … Shelly Hoffman
“A spring baby quilt for a spring baby on baby quilt Monday” … Maria Slayman
“Thisis a baby quilt I made for my first granddaughter, Parker. My daughter(Parker’s mom) designed and drew out the pattern and then I hand appliqued the top. This is one of my favorite quilts!“… Jackie Rodgers
“Ijust finished this baby quilt for a nephew’s yet-to-be-born little girl. The pattern is called X’s and O’s, and the fabric is “Meadow Friends” by Moda. It was a very simple pattern, so I wanted to get a little creative with the quilting. I must give credit to Judi Madsen of Green Fairy Quilts for the quilting ideas. I love how it turned out-“… Sharon Mason
We’d like to end this evening with two special quilts…
“This is my baby quilt. I will finish this and then it will be donated to the Linus Project—then on to make another baby quilt!“…Kathy Roberts Smith
We’d like to thank Sonia Chang, also, for giving our readers the links to Project Linus. It is a non-profit that provides homemade quilts and blankets to children in need. Over 4 million blankets/quilts have been delivered to children since 1998. Here are the links if you’d like to find out more.
“Justsent this quilt off to a little guy whose daddy was over in Afghanistanin the military with my husband. He was born last year while his daddy was serving his country! It has been fun making personalized quilts for the ladies in my husband’s unit that had babies while their husbands were putting their lives in danger. The design was taken from the wall decorations in the baby’s room. ” …Debra Ressler
