This afternoon we’d like to feature a few quilts that seem bright and energetic. All have recently been shared with us by our readers. On a winter’s day, it’s nice to see bright colors!
from: Holly Bishop: “Baby quilt for a special coworker.”
from: Rebecca Garner Duren: “This is a quilt top I just finished using my stash…from a Thimbleberry BOM I did in 1998!”
from: Kate Fraser: “Aussie quilt”
Kate’s work is just delightful! Notice all the beach tents, the snorkling kangaroo, the croc and the platypuses! Fantastic! We love how it is fun and lighthearted and very creative. The little platypus pillow (or toy?) is just perfect to go with it.
from: Glenda Oldham Marsh: “This is my first full sized quilt, claimed by granddaughter. I’m late to the quilting world. She loved the bright colors & pattern. I call it Brightly Braided.”
All it takes is color. All the reds and golds give a richness that brightens our days! Thanks to everyone who shares their love of quilting. We do inspire each other!
