Caterday Quilts: June 14

Caterday is the day we celebrate cats and quilts…and dogs and quilts. Usually cats greatly outnumber the dogs but, this morning, it looks as if the dogs…and dog lovers…have out-numbered the cat fanciers. So, just for fun, here’s our first installment of Caterday quilts for today.

from: Molly Wisener: “After finishing my applique flower quilt I had a square left over and decided to make a pillow to match. While taking the pic “Buddy” decided he wanted to have his picture taken with it as well – he loves cuddling with quilts. The flower applique pattern is from a Quilter’s Magazine from several years ago and much of the flower material is from clothes I had made my daughter. I sure enjoyed finally having the time to make and finish it.”

from: Janet Nations: “I love dogs and bright colors. This is foundation pieced.”

from: Antonia Puig Forcada: “Quilt per la Grey”

from: Shary Diestelmeier Meinert: “I made this for my Yorkie who just passed his Therapy Dog training. We will take it along for him to lay on when he visits patients in the hospital or nursing home.”
