Marcella Brown shared this photo of her sculptural art quilt with our 24 Blocks community on Facebook. It was made in Marion, Ohio, for a friend’s new baby named Corinne. Note how her name is spelled out in an ankle bracelet on the quilt! It’s so sweet and beautiful. Thanks, Marcella, for sharing your art with us.
Dick Linhart posted “This is our most recent baby quilt for ‘Noah'”. We love the vibrance. Finding certain figures in it could be a wonderful game in itself for a child. Thanks, Dick, for sharing it with us.
This creative butterfly quilt, made and posted by Elma Coronado, has recieved a large number of “likes” on our page. She made it for her great granddaughter. Although she describes it as a “raggedy quilt”, we love color and how it just seems happy. Elma also made the baby booties that are sitting on it. Thanks, Elma for sharing your creativity with our quilting community.
Denise Hartley writes that this one is “My most favorite baby quilt I have made: “Clothing Gone Crazy” has bits of baby clothes in every block, many including snaps, buttons, pockets, etc.” Don’t you love how it is fresh and modern, but yet uses traditional techniques? We love the pillow in the inset, too! Thanks, Denise for your post…and also the alphabet quilt!
This is such a sweet quilt and yet practical for use. It was made by Karin Rodeheaver two years ago for her great granddaughter. We love the gentle colors and the quilting that looks like clouds. Thank, Karin
