With quilting we all can be as creative as we wish. We can follow traditional patterns, bringing back a bit of memory of days gone by. Or we can experiment with layouts that seem to open new doors. Modern culture also brings all sorts of opportunities for new subject matter, especially to delight the young…or young at heart.
Here are a few examples we’ve selected from recent reader posts. We hope you enjoy them this morning.
“Imade this for my mathematical son – I tried to do the blocks in the color wheel (primary, secondary, & tertiary colors). I quilted it into a duvet cover for his down comforter.” — Cathy Lansdale
“Another one block wonder and I’m loving the cubes too…addicting! Well, on to another…” — LaMona Ellis
“Thanksto my husband who digitized the iPad apps into the embroidery program for me. We saw this quilt idea on Pinterest and decided it would be perfect for our grandson.” — Jeune Nicolai
Thanks to everyone who has shared their work with our social media quilting community at 24 Blocks. As quilters, we are literally “on the cutting edge”.
