Hello again from 24 Blocks. Tonight we’ve selected some quilts that have that softness of pink or a feel of Spring. We hope you enjoy seeing them and that they inspire. All come from our readers’ posts and the captions are in their own words.
from: Pat Reaid Sisler: “Shadow Daisy. I try to make at least 1. 30s repo quilt a year. This quilt has been in the making for almost 20 years. I did have it professionally quilted by Brenda Stump. My long arm skills will never be up to this standard!”
from: Julie Ann Chandler: “Little 9 patch, baby quilt…”
from: Libby Hobbs: “I recently completed this toddler quilt for a friend. I have named it “Wishing for Spring: Pinwheels and Blocks. I couldn’t decided how to make the quilt. I saw two quilts so I combined aspects from each quilt to form the Pinwheels and Blocks. In addition, I used 3 different longarm quilting patterns to finish it off.”
from: Barbara Gibson: “This is for those of you who wanted to see this one “done”…I gave away the first top to charity, but finished a second one….. :>))”
We’ve really been enjoying seeing the photos Barbara has posted of her work “in progress.” She has used flannel to make it an extra soft quilt. You can see the work after her first row here.
Thanks to everyone who has shared their love of quilting with our community at 24 Blocks. We inspire each other and, hopefully, help more people piece and applique.
