Several of our readers have recently posted wonderful quilts that remind us of country life, or at least of getting out in the beautiful outdoors. We thought we’d share them tonight. The caption are in the quilters own words.
from: Diana Daily: “This quilt is called “Barnyard Boss”. It has 511 pieces and I did it in batiks from my stash. It is done with freezer paper templates and is machine quilted in the ditch. It is 22″ by 22″.”
from: Beverly Wagoner: “I made this “Farm Quilt” 2 years ago for my 2 year old great grandaughter, Maya. She loves animals so much and loves to visits farms, so I designed it as I appliqued each block about the things she saw at a the farm. She’s 4 now and still loves her quilt.”
from Lindy Wesney: “This is my first landscape quilt which was so much fun to make. I used crayons, markers, paint, highlighters and several different thread colors to complete it. It was made for my boss from a photo of his jeep, complete with a winch and a windshield you can see through. I enjoy seeing all of the quilts others have made on here so I thought I would share one of my creations.
from: Avigail Avramovich: “i’m sharing my freestyle “fawn in the meadow” quilt with you. all quilters- have happy days. This one went to a baby in seattle”
from: Becky Erdman: “i know there isn’t a Froggy Friday – but I keep trying.”
Thanks to everyone who has shared their love of quilting with 24 Blocks. We can bring the outside indoors with our vision and creativity.
