For a Picnic 4th

Many of us remember when quilts were used at picnics. Sometimes on the ground or sometimes on a picnic table or sometimes just on the wall of a porch or barn. Cindy Hickman shared her recent quilt project with all our readers. She made it for a friend and “her old dog” for their July 4th picnic.

The pattern is called “Windmills at Night”. Cindy writes that it is free on Craftsy and that she changed it to use patriotic colors.

Don’t you love the fabrics? And the windmills do look a bit like the kind of windmills we played with as children, or the sparklers that we’d hold on the 4th.

Thank you, Cindy, for sharing it with us! Enjoy the picnic!
