It’s almost Valentine’s! While we might not have enough time to whip up a heart and love themed quilt for this year, we can make plans for next year! And, maybe there is time for a table runner or door decoration.
Here are a few works by our readers. Let’s celebrate love!
from: Karen Minteer: “I made this for my husband for Valentines day …he uses it in his recliner as a lap quilt. I saw a picture of one like it and just figured the pattern out from the picture. Its a pretty simple quilt to do and would be great for a beginner”
from: Tammy Gericke: “This is a scrappy Hunter’s Star in valentines colors I made for my mother’s good friend Billie. I love 2 color Hunter’s Star quilts but this is the first one I’ve made from more than 2 fabrics. I used 10 FQ’s. I quilted it with a heart pantograph lengthwise to avoid obvious rows in the quilting. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the quilting shows with so many printed fabrics! I call it Dancing with the Stars.”
from: Kathy Schaller Saunders: “It’s February which makes me think of hearts! Here’s a heart quilt I made years ago…it makes me think of Valentines Day!”
