Center block is “Susie Sunshine”, Surrounding blocks represent her Intelligence, Beauty, Creativity and her Beautiful Heart! Corner blocks represent her Irish heritage and her connection to Arizona. designed and stitched by Deborah Spendley 2012″

from: Linda Deis: “This was my first attempt at paper piecing. I think there was something like 64 pieces to each block. It was going to be queen size, I settled for throw size! Backed it with flannel. Wish I had continued on to the queen….”

from: Betty Medford: “Just finished the top of my great niece Taylor’s quilt. Now to quilt it!”

from: Marie Galloway: “I made this for a friend’s daughter, who was having breast cancer treatment. Fortunately the treatment seems to have been a success. I started with a pack of 12 inch squares and a lovely bright pink border fabric. This is the first time I have made a quilt that wasn’t based on a specific pattern. My dog Cooper gives his seal of approval for all the quilts I make!”
