Hello again! This morning we’re featuring four quilts made by our readers to help raise funds for cancer treatment or research, or to comfort others with the disease. We hope they inspire you, too. It’s all about Hope and Courage and using our talents in ways that have been traditional for quilters for centuries.
Our thanks go to Carolyn, Stephanie and Kyra for sharing them with us all.
from: Stephanie Smith: “This quilt was made for a friend who has battled breast cancer 3 times and beat it! It has sayings on it of what cancer can’t do.”
from: Stephanie Smith: “This is another cancer quilt. I made it for a donation to Cowboys Against Cancer in Rock Springs, WY. They will raffle it off (among other items) to raise funds for people traveling to cancer treatments that need help. This one was made in memory of my mom who we lost 2 years ago.”
from: Carolyn Pothast Culp: “I made this for our Relay For Life of Delphos, OH raffle 2 years ago. It was won by a cancer survivor. Just log cabin block with right color in the right place.”
from: Kyra Reps: “From Kyra Reps..I made and donated this quilt to raise money for people going through cancer treatments.. in honor of my 11 year old son who had leukemia and is now cancer free after 5 year’s of treatment:)”
