Now that we’ve successfully made it through the “ghosties and ghoulies and things that go bump in the night”…which in our neck of the woods was accompanied by a fierce and howling wind…we can think about next year’s Halloween quilted additions to our decor. Here are a few that have been shared with us by our readers. The captions are in their own words…
“This is a UFO started a couple of years ago, but finished this month! I love to make mantel scarves for all the holidays!” — Joan McConnell
“My Great Pumpkin quilt finished with my helper Zoey” — Barbara Logan
“People, people it’s Halloween time….let’s see some of your seasonal quilts! Here’s my Bats about Halloween“ –– Vicki McKinnon
“One of my first Halloween quilts made back in the early nineties… Thiswas made on a really tired old Singer that was beyond repair as parts were no longer available. I had made my wedding gown on one just like it50 years ago. This quilt was such fun to make.” — Patra Brazil
We’d like to thank everyone who has shared photos of their Halloween and pumpkin quilts with our community at 24 Blocks. We’ll show off some more later in the day. Hopefully they’ll give you some ideas on how to turn some thoughts of pumpkins, cats, bats and ghosties into stitched art that delights.
