Sometimes You Need Pink

Tonight we’d like to feature some quilts that have that wonderful pink hue that we seem to crave in January. All were shared with us by our 24 Blocks community members. Pink just gives us a feeling of softness and seems to reflect an inner glow, even when other colors are nearby. We hope you enjoy these. Bring on the Pink!

from: Barbara Gibson: “This is for those of you keeping up with “progress” pictures….one row quilted – close up of one block :>))”

It’s been a real treat to watch Barbara’s quilt take shape via our virtual world at 24 Blocks. She is part of a charity group that sews new pajamas for a homeless shelter every year. She brings home the scraps and looks for quilting projects that would fit them. She has done Dresden Plates before and is, here, using the classic Flower Basket pattern. The flannel makes it so soft! You can see the first two blocks she posted here and the finished quilt here.

from Diane Buckley: “This is a strip quilt made with batiks, with machine embroidered butterflies, that I made for a friend’s baby girl.

from: Sharon Gordon: “Another quilt for granddaughter, Addyson”

Thanks to everyone who has shared their wonderful quilts with our community!
