Summer Sorbets

Many of us enjoy the early summer colors that bring back memories of sherbet or sorbet or maybe just Lilly Pulitzer cotton shifts. Those pinks, the lime green, the orange sherbet, the raspberry sorbet. This morning we’d like to feature some quilts that evoke those feelings. All were made by our readers. The captions are in their own words.

The quilts are light and fresh. Two are baby quilts. One is for charity. They all are lovely. We’d like to thank Janice, Vicky and Mary for sharing them with us.

from: Vicky Bertrand: “Donation quilt for the Cancer Society…..Wanted it to be a cheerful quilt but I might have overdone it a little….”

from: Mary Deotte: “This is a baby quilt I made using Amy Smart’s “Double Crossed” pattern. I prefer the name “Hugs and Kisses” since it was made for a sweet little girl.”
