The People Behind the Quilts

If you’ve followed 24 Blocks for very long you know that members of our online quilting community like to share photos of the quilts they’ve made. They’re usually displayed in one of several ways: on a wall, outside, on a bed, hung from a railing — or being held by their makers or the lucky folks who received them as gifts. We love to see those smiles.

Here are some recent ones we’d like to share. They show the happiness, the gratitude, the fun that quilting brings.

We’d like to thank Susan, Carla and Suzanne for sharing these and everyone else who has shared in the joy.

from: Susan Prouty Walsh: “This is a signature wedding quilt I made for my niece and her hubby. Her favorite colors have been red, white and black for as long as I can remember.”

from: Carla Walton: “this was the third blooming nine I made. it’s called ”colorburst”. my aunt loves lots of colors. it is quilted with variegated thread and has a cotton sheen backing that is beautiful. of coarse there is always that one family member that has to act up. LOL”

from: Suzanne Havlicek: “Captured the moment of exhilaration of gifting this wall quilt to my surgeon!”

from: Suzanne Findlay Havlicek: “~Special 60th wedding anniversary wall quilt gift! ?”
