Today’s Featured Quilts: January 28th

“I had been wanting to do a string quilt in panels of color but at a loss as to what to use as design element. Then I found a wonderful bird print and the plan was put in motion. As I progressed with the branches and birds, it still lacked something till I added the fluttering leaves. I named the quilt “All A Flutter”. After finishing all the piecing and applique, I turned it over to my good friend, Nona Davis, of St. Maries Idaho who with her remarkable talent gave it life.” — Judy Crane

Sharon Mck Mason writes: “This is one of my early quilts. It’s Jacob’s Ladder, from the Better Homes and Gardens‘ “Quilt Lovers Favorites” series of books. I’m glad the FMQ doesn’t show because it’s terrible. But the only way to get better is to keep at it, and I certainly have done that! I still love the scrappiness of this one! It’s one of my favorites.

Carol Fisher just simply writes “Finshed project”. (We know how great that feels!)

“This was a puffy quilt I made for my new grandsons crib, his room is baseball themed so this looks like a lot of baseballs 3D“–Charyl Nichols

“This quilt is the second quilt my friend Jill Engle made. It is called an ‘Asian Wedding Ring’ and she made it for her son’s wedding.” — Marty Bodner
